Conner (he/him)
Connor was an avid player of Who Wants to be a Millionaire Lord of the Rings Edition. When the millions turned out to be fake, and answering that “Athelas” was another name for “Kingsfoil” grew tiresome, he retired. Now, an avid reader instead, he reads an array of genres from fantasy, scifi, thriller, horror and mystery. Since 2021 he has focused on indie and self pub authors primarily.

Tiffany is the author of seven fiction books, two non-fiction books, and has earned publication more than a dozen times in anthologies and magazines.

Crystina (she/her)
Crystina Luna is a Californian author who reads almost as much as she writes. Her love of books grows exponentially on a daily basis; with the hopes of sharing the love, Crystina decided to start reviewing books on her personal website in late 2018. After an unexpected hiatus in 2019, she decided that in the wake of the new year, she'd start taking reviewing more seriously (It is now a full-time job). On June 1, 2020, she launched Geek Declassified, the new home of all her reviews, analyses, and pop-culture content. In October of 2023, Geek Declassified was relaunched as Geekyst and now includes a broader variety of content across a number of platforms.
Benedict (he/him)
BookishBenny loves to read books after a hard day at the office, the gym or crunching tarmac on a run. He got into book blogging about 5 years ago and has since had a Bookstagram, Booktube and Book Blog. He also created the SFF Oasis Discord which went to almost 800 members before handing it over (now called Keymark).
Now though, you can catch him on his blog or Twitter (or X…) where he spouts about books and harasses The Broken Binding into making specific special editions.
Alex (she/they)
Alex is an AroAce book review and indie book lover. She loves reading fantasy, science fiction, and romances that feature LGBTQIA+ characters, diverse relationships, and fun plots. She has been blogging and reviewing books for a few years and over the years has been finding that indie books are becoming fast favorites.
Kriti (she/her)
Kriti is the founder and voracious reader of Armed with A Book. She shares book reviews and discussions with fellow avid readers. She hosts author and creators for interviews and guests posts about anything and everything that she finds interesting and her readers might benefit from. Follow her everyday bookish journey on the blog and Instagram (@_armedwithabook).
Nikki (she/her)
Similar to the apex predator of the Dragon hunting for its next meal, Nikki, The Book Dragon, searches for her next book. And just as Dragon Fire consumes everything in its wake, so too does she devour the words on a page. Noticing that indie authors tend to get sidelined (especially marginalized indie authors), she wanted to do something to help them get in the conversation. So, she began her blog, thebookdragondotblog.wordpress.com and has recently dived into freelance editing. Though she may get a bit distracted during the school year as an English teacher, she commits to reading every indie book thrown her way and reviewing those she enjoys (or sending her notes to the author--if they so choose--for those she didn’t enjoy).
Tegan (they/them)
On a cold Autumn evening back in 2008, seven-year-old Tegan Anderson began to write their first short stories, finding a more creative way to learn their spellings. Many years and many more short stories later, they haven't stopped for anything. Now, they're writing more than they ever believed possible.
Tegan may write the worlds they would prefer to exist in but currently lives in Devon with their overflowing bookshelves and expanding imagination.
Alma (she/ella)
Alma (she/ella) is a voracious reader and bookworm who started talking about books on Twitter starting in 2020, reviewing on StoryGraph in 2021, and joined the BookTok crowd in 2023. Alma enjoys SFF both as an escape, and to reflect on the state of our world. She especially enjoys reading from BIPOC and LGBTQNIA2S+ authors, and loves it when folks ask her for SFF book recommendations - she keeps lists of different kinds of SFF recs based on what friends, acquaintances, and strangers on the interwebs enjoy. When she's not reading, Alma is engaged in social justice activism, nerding out on data analytics or ttRPGs, is teaching her dog a new trick, spending time under the surface of the ocean for fun and as a citizen scientist, or researching the best location for her newest native pollinator plant acquisition. Alma lives as a transplant in Austin, TX with her dog Mabel alongside lots of vinyls, books, and plants.
Laura (she/her)
Laura is the creator of The Magic Book Corner.
A fantasy and romance book review blog with an attitude.
The Bookdragon kind.
Not because we're a tad cheeky over there, which we are, but because we have our very own dragon. Jeff the Bookdragon - the handsome big fellow on the logo, whose tail will be found popping into all the pages of our site. He is the fierce guardian of The Magic Book Corner. Your friendly neighbourhood Bookdragon, quite gentle and charming. Unless you happen to step on his tail that is. Case in which - please be advised: We won't be held accountable for any fried pants.
A hopeless romantic and fantasy addict, Laura started reading since before she could walk and has never stopped since.
She loves running barefoot in the grass and loosing herself in the rhythm of Latin beats, possibly just as much as she loves to read. She is a Romanian settled in sunny India with her awesome hubby and two amazing boys.
When she's not uploading stuff on the site or holding buddy reads on GoodReads, you can find her putting up dragon style #makeitoutofbooks pictures and reels over on Instagram and FB, or holding the occasional read-along over on r/fantasy.
And she has her own dragon of course. Jeff is the absolute BEST!
Sheila (she/her)
I have been a big reader since a young age and currently read at least a hundred books a year. My favorite genre is romance, but I have a diverse bookshelf of other genres as well. I worked at a bookstore for a year, which was my dream come true. I am also an aspiring writer (of romance novels) so hopefully one day my books might be voted on here 🙂
Roslyn (she/her)
Roslyn has always had a love for stories and the art of story telling. A voracious reader and well practiced in the art of story consumption, she’s been devouring as many books as she can for as long as she can remember. Romance and paranormal horror have always owned the keys to her haunted little heart.
Sue (she/her)
Sue Bavey is a bookblogger at Sue's Musings who mainly reviews Fantasy and Science Fiction but also enjoys Historical Fiction and other genres occasionally. She prefers comedic and light/warm hearted stories. She mostly reviews indie/self published books and tries to review everything she reads.
Em Cass (she/her)
Em is an avid consumer of the fantastical and futuristic, as the fantasy/sci-fi half of The Page Mages duo. She's been a reader for as long as she can remember, but these days her favourites genres are grimdark and military fantasy. She has a special love for indie books, and jumps at any chance to shine some light on deserving works that push creative boundaries outside of the traditionally published space.
Charity (she/her)
Charity has always been a fan of stories with a little bit (or sometimes a lot) of darkness. From a young age her favorite books were of talking skeleton detectives, hunters of things that go bump in the night, and fantasy realms ruled by dark lords. That love never faded, but it somehow combined with her hopelessly romantic heart, leading her to a love of romance with magic, mystery, or monsters, especially when one of them IS the monster. Today she reads a little bit of everything, savoring books at her own pace and taking the time to appreciate any skilled writing that builds characters, worlds, or delicious darkness. She especially loves to TELL people when she finds a great book because writing is hard and tortured artists at their craft deserve every glimmer of recognition they can get.
Erica (she/they)
Erica holds a Masters Degree in Library Science and a B.A. in Comparative Literature, and is a full-time researcher for a Fortune 100 company. She has lectured at dozens of conventions and presented at film festivals, notably the San Francisco Lesbian and Gay Film Festival and the London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival. She loves to read children’s and ya books alongside adult ones and enjoys sharing her thoughts and reviews on her blog, The Strawberry Post. Cat can also be found on Twitter and Instagram.
Lorraine (she/her)
I was an Indie Ink Awards Judge last year and it was a great experience. I have my own blog, The Book and Nature Professor (although I am in the process of renaming it) where I review books, cover reveals, author Interviews, and other bookish content. I read all genres of fantasy and science fiction. I love to support indie authors and have reviewed many books and ARCS. I alpha and beta read as well. I think it's wonderful how diverse the fantasy genre is becoming, with more representation and inclusion.
Sparks (she/her)
Sparks is either reading to spark new ideas or jotting notes for those she’ll be writing about. As an ND writer, these ideas multiply like bunnies and she always follows the rabbit trail—until she sees a squirrel. She loves spec fiction, immersion into diverse realities and playing with and off words.

Ashley (she/her)
A. P. Goodman is a lifelong enthusiast of mythology and religion. From her first love of Disney's Hercules to her most recent love of Prague’s legendary mythos, Ashley has spent much of her time engrossed in various accounts of past and present lore. She loves obscure stories best and feels strongly that no tale should be left untold. In her moments outside of cultural deep dives, she feels nothing compares to warm chai tea and creating core memories. Her loved ones and pets (especially her fluffy puppy) are always her favorite company. She also has two meddlesome cats and a bunny who reigns as king of the household.
Victoria (she/her)
Victoria is an author, poet, and reviewer. She predominantly reads YA SFF, but is more than willing to peruse all genres if they pique her interest. She and her husband are a team of bloggers with FFA, and their combined powers make them a danger to mankind. She also has three dogs and a cat that she talks about a lot. Not in her reviews, just in general. You can also hear her on the FFA Podcast every now and then.
Elton (he/him)
Elts enjoys finding new writing and exploring stories as a means to both further his love of the creative side of life, and to support indie publishing (which in turn helps with the first aspect). He lives in Aberdeenshire with his trusty Labrador, Rogue, a garage full of old hifi amplifiers that need repairing, and a passion for cultivating a love of owls (2 - no more, no less).
Sally (they/them)
Sally Bend is a nonbinary author, editor, and reviewer. Although shy and polite (she is, after all, Canadian), she loves the bold and boisterous expression of stories that bend the binaries of gender and sexuality, and that embrace the depth and breadth of the neurodiverse spectrum.
Evelyn (she/her)
Evelyn Grimald “E.G.” Stone is an independent author, editor, and linguist who has been writing, creating and causing vast amounts of trouble since a young age. When not writing, she is off musing about the workings of languages—both real and created—or reading and sewing. E.G. reads voraciously, much to the confusion of her two dogs and two cats. Weird, nerdy, perhaps a little crazy, she is having a grand old time writing, reading, editing, musing on language, and, naturally, continuing her endeavours in causing trouble.
Heena (she/her)
Meet Heena Rathore-Pardeshi, a four-times published author and contributor to international journals. As an award-winning author, developmental editor, and writing coach, her adventure in the world of creative writing spans both fiction and non-fiction. Currently, Heena is expanding her literary horizons by studying Comparative Greek Literature at Harvard. This journey continues to deepen her appreciation for the diverse world of literature, fueling her insatiable hunger for knowledge.
David (he/him)
Dave Marvin is a husband, father, and grandfather, living in Pennsylvania, and fully aware that you are cooler than he. He won the reading contest at his elementary school when he was 10, but didn't start blogging until he was 51 and his wife came up with the idea for Scintilla.info. We can call those the lost years. The blog launched in 2018 and usually features about 150 posts per year about books from many genres. Dave especially loves promoting and supporting diverse authors.
Melody (she/they)
Melody lives in Ontario, Canada and writes short, speculative fiction that has been published by several small presses including Air and Nothingness Press, Black Ink Fiction, Brigids Gate, and Hiraeth Publishing. She is also an avid reviewer who writes reviews and articles for The Horror Tree, as well as on her blog. Melody is a member of both the Horror Writers Association and Sisters in Crime.
Melody earned her Master of Arts studying Ancient Greek and Roman Studies and often infuses her work with elements of Greek mythology. Outside of writing she loves reading, embroidery, and martial arts.

Jenn (she/her)
Hi! I’m Jenn, a Canadian currently living in Belgium with my husband, our son and dogs (my favourite reading buddies) I’ve always been a big reader and love to share my reviews with the online world. I love supporting authors and reading anything I can get my hands on. I really look forward to reading the indie noms for this year.
Mackenzie (she/her)
Mackenzie is the mind behind Lit Lemon Books. She has been an avid reader for many years and blogging for six. She enjoys fiction, more so fantasy, but overall just enjoys the magic that is reading.
Kat (she/her)
Kat Daniels is a lifelong writer, but not a lifelong reader. She didn’t discover the true meaning of books until adulthood. (Which was for the best honestly, pre-teen and teenage Kat would’ve absolutely taken advantage of her parent’s ignorance.) Romance is what convinced Kat that not all books were created equally. So, while that is her favorite genre, it is not the only one she consumes. She also enjoys, dark romance, lgbtq+ romance, closed-door romance, open-door romance, but no really, fantasy, mystery, murder, you name it she’ll read it. While reading and writing, she also happily hops around the world, occasionally hiking, with her husband and two kids and two fur-babies.
Sean (he/him)
I have been blogging for about 9 years under two different blogs focusing on blog tour reviews and author interviews.
I have been an avid reader for over 40 years focusing a lot on fantasy or science fiction and crime.
I also am an aspiring author who writes urban fantasy short stories. These are published on my blog.
Legacy (she/her)
My name is Legacy. I have been reviewing indie author books for over a year now. I love helping authors and usually post my reviews on all sites to get the most exposure. I started on a review team, where I learned most of my reviewing from. I always loved to read but did step away from it when I went to college. I got back into it about 4-5 years ago. Now, I listen to audiobooks all day and at night read paperback or ebook. So, I am a avid reader.
Sarah (she/her)
Sarah loves books, lists, and making bookish lists. She reads across a wide range of genres but romance remains her favourite. If she is not reading on her phone, you will find her looking for cool queer and indie releases online or practicing her reviewing skills with a recent read.
Athena (she/her)
Hi! Athena is a lifelong reader who started blogging around 2018. She reads everything but focuses most on fantasy, sci-fi, thrillers, and American History these days. Her corneas aren't aging well so she especially loves audiobooks now! The indie community is a great place and she's looking forward to discovering new reads through the competition!
Ollie (they/them)
I am ecstatic about participating in the Indie Ink Awards by helping judge for countless reasons. To name a few:
-As someone deeply involved in LGBTQ+ literature, I feel I can offer a unique perspective on the diversity and representation in indie publications. This aligns with the goals of many indie awards, which often seek to highlight and celebrate a range of voices and stories.
-Being a judge can provide an opportunity to promote amazing works of LGBTQ+ literature that people might not otherwise know of. By recognizing and awarding books that positively represent this community, we can help bring more attention to these works and authors. Also, indie authors often struggle for recognition and support. By participating as a judge, I hope to support these authors, many of whom might be producing significant LGBTQ+ literature but lacking the platform to gain wider recognition.
-Participating as a judge allows for networking with other professionals in the literary world. This can lead to partnerships, and stronger community ties, all of which can benefit the literary community as a whole.
-Judging the Indie Ink Awards can help me to stay informed about the latest trends and emerging authors in indie publishing.
- Finally, such roles offer personal and professional development. Engaging with a wide range of literature and participating in the judging process can enhance my critical skills and deepen understanding of the literary industry.
Penny (she/her)
Avid reader and lifelong learner
Josiah (he/him)
Josiah has been an avid reader for as long as he can remember. Growing up, books were a way he could discover the universe while living on a farm, and as an adult it has become a way of escaping his day to day life in search of something greater. He believes that books, and all story-telling really, are critical to understanding the world and others' perspectives beyond your own, so he makes an effort to read a little bit every day.
Natasha (she/her)
32-year-old mom and wife. I love reading quite a few different genres, but find that I do really enjoy reading fantasy the most. Fantasy reading is like most described as as escape of reality.
Stefan (he/him)
Stefan does as much reading as is possible for a father of 2, and he likes to write reviews on his blog about his reading adventures. He especially loves to discover new/indie authors and give them a voice. He secretly hopes that some of his reviews also bring joy to the readers of his blog.

Laura (she/her)
She’s an aspiring author that loves exploring other authors’ worlds and find the magic in them! Most of her reviews you can find on Tiktok as of recently. But you can also find her on YouTube and IG. She tries to stay away from Twitter at all costs! Fantasy is what got her into reading at the tender age of 11 and it has kept the fire going ever since. Romance has made its self comfortable in recent years and she also dabbles in sci-fi and mystery.
Jennifer (she/her)
Jennifer has a book review blog since 2010, loves thrillers, mystery, romance and has a independent bookshop.
Nikao (she/her)
Nikao is an avid reader who has a dream of becoming an author. She spends most of her free time reading book after book. Having read over 700 books in the past three years she has a large variety of interests in books and an even larger vocabulary. She spends time cooking up loads of her own personal opinions on every single book she reads and hopes that maybe one day she can start a blog. Reading and writing are her favourite things and she’s never loved anything as much as them (other than her boyfriend).

She loves to host authors on her blog for guest posts and reveals and has loved being able to interact with so many writers and readers, including some of her favorite authors, thanks to the welcoming book community.
Brittany (she/they)
Brittany Levely-Connolly is an independent and new. Horror book reviewer who posts under the handle @JustAnotherFinalGirlReview online. I am a horror nerd and have always loved to read. I recently discovered that she could justify my book addiction and my genre preference to others in my life by writing reviews and posting them on social media. Horror has often been seen as a trashy and unintelligent genre, a guilty pleasure with no real substance and not something you would admit to reading. I hope that by sharing my reviews and thoughts I can help make other see the literary merits of the genre. In addition, fight the gatekeeping within the industry by big box stores and introducing others to a wide range of indie book publishers and authors who are otherwise silenced by the main stream media.
Jaleesa (she/her)
Jaleesa from Reading Beyond the Book Cover is a book blogger who reads diversely and across all genres. Although she's always been an avid reader and enjoys talking about all things books, she's a recent face on the bookish scene, as she's finally out of lurking and now participating more in the reading and book communities. Her reviews can be found across multiple platforms and are often referred to for their formatting and consideration of her feelings and the feelings of other readers. She's diplomatic in her thought processes and construction of book reviews. She has yet to come across a book that she cannot recommend to those who desire to spend time with a book.
Roxanne (she/her)
Roxanne Blackhall is the alter-ego of a former magazine and newspaper editor from San Diego, California, now living in the heart of Baltimore, Maryland. When not at her desk coming up with new ways to torment her characters, she can often be found in the kitchen, glass of wine in hand, cooking a meal for friends.
She has mentored writers in Pitch Wars, QueeryFest and Kiss Pitch (among others) and is an avid reader of romance, romantasy, mystery, and horror and tends to favor indie authors.

She is the co-founder of notforvanity.com, a website that offers free promotion to self-published and indie authors and aims to become the go-to platform for self-published and indie books readers. She has always been an avid reader, even more now that she reviews books for work, and despite she can read anything, she is particularly fond of LGBTQ+, horror, thriller, mystery and YA books, even better if they combine two or more these genre. She is actively querying to publish her book 'Your Patroclus, always."
Em Mosro
Reading and writing have always been a large part of Em’s life, both privately and professionally. From the years of exploring the world to the current days of relative permanence by the European Alps, there have always been books – preferably printed for that tangible sense of completely disappearing into a story that screens seem unable to provide. Whenever the everyday leaves enough time to do so, Em goes full old-school with a Remington Noiseless Model 7 from 1923 to type out fiction that has not been published and probably never will be. Plenty of good authors writing excellent literature to feel happy staying out of the fray.
